We are currently in search of an exceptional educational leader, one who embodies a passion for post-secondary health education and paramedicine.

We are currently seeking a Lead Instructor, Advanced Care Paramedic, responsible for teaching and delivering the Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) Program content through a blended model of synchronous online and face-to-face learning. In this role, you will ensure program quality by aligning content with best practices and industry needs, and supervising sessional faculty to maintain consistent education standards.  Your consistent presence for students will support their academic progression and success. The role includes developing course schedules, updating student resources, preparing and grading exams, and participating in program development and quality assurance initiatives. Furthermore, the Lead Instructor engages in scholarly activities, supports student and graduate research projects, and promotes current research within the Health Sciences Division and the broader paramedic community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and maintaining a consistent presence in the classroom across all ACP courses. This includes supervising and coaching sessional faculty, leading online synchronous components, and maintaining an average teaching load of 21–24 hours per week when classes are in session. The role also involves meeting with students to discuss their academic progression, completing education plans, auditing competency attainment, and collaborating with the ACP Academic Writing Team and Practice Education Leads (PELs) to ensure consistent and high-quality program delivery. Additionally, the faculty member will be responsible for grading assessments, providing constructive feedback, and offering ongoing support to students.

In addition to teaching responsibilities, the faculty member will be involved in various administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the ACP Program. These include developing and communicating course and faculty schedules, updating student resources on platforms such as Blackboard, and managing tasks related to exam preparation, equipment setup, curriculum development, and quality assurance. Participation in committee work—such as accreditation, program development, and curriculum redesign—is also an essential component of this role. The ACP Program is committed to encouraging ongoing professional development and support will be offered for appropriate further education undertaken by faculty

If you have extensive experience as an Advanced Care Paramedic, strong leadership skills, and a passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of paramedics, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity!
